When children join our Lower Primary section (Primary 1 to Primary 3), they begin an exciting journey filled with discovery, creativity, and growth. In a nurturing and child-centered environment, pupils build strong foundations in reading, writing, numeracy, and social skills. Every day is an opportunity to explore, ask questions, and enjoy learning through play, music, stories, and hands-on activities — all while making lasting friendships.
Entry Process
Children seeking to join our Lower Primary section (Primary 1 to Primary 3) are warmly welcomed into a caring and supportive school community. We understand that every child is unique, and our admission process is designed to be age-appropriate, friendly, and informal.
Applicants may be invited to a short observation session where teachers interact with the child through play-based activities, storytelling, and simple number or language games. This helps us understand each child’s learning style, communication skills, and social readiness in a comfortable, familiar environment.
There are no formal written tests at this stage. Instead, we focus on building rapport with your child, assessing early literacy and numeracy readiness, and observing how they interact with peers and teachers.
Parents/guardians will also meet with the Headteacher or Admissions Team for a brief conversation about their child’s background, interests, and any specific needs or preferences.
If applicable, we kindly request a short reference or report from your child's nursery or previous school, especially for Primary 2 and Primary 3 entrants.
We are inclusive and offer tailored support for children with special educational needs or learning differences to ensure they can thrive from day one.
Early Talent & Enrichment
In our Lower Primary section (Primary 1 to Primary 3), we celebrate every child’s unique potential. While formal scholarships are not offered at this stage, we place great emphasis on identifying early talents and nurturing them through inclusive enrichment programmes.
Children who demonstrate strong aptitude in literacy, numeracy, the arts, or leadership are offered additional opportunities to explore their interests through guided reading clubs, creative writing, number games, music groups, or classroom leadership roles.
Talented young musicians may be invited to participate in beginner ensembles or showcase their skills during school assemblies and events, with support from our Music department.
Children with exceptional physical coordination and interest in sports may be encouraged to join age-appropriate activity groups, helping lay the foundation for future participation in our Upper Primary and School-wide Sports Development Programme.
Joining Our Community
When children join our Lower Primary section (Primary 1 to Primary 3), they become part of a nurturing and vibrant learning community designed to make them feel safe, happy, and inspired. Our caring teachers, assistants, and school leaders work together to ensure every child settles in confidently and begins their learning journey with joy and curiosity.
We create a warm and welcoming environment where children form friendships, learn routines, and explore the world through storytelling, music, play, and hands-on learning. Daily classroom life is enriched with engaging activities that promote creativity, kindness, and confidence-building.
To ease the transition into school life, we organise a Welcome Day before the start of term where new pupils and their parents can tour the classrooms, meet teachers, and experience a sample lesson. On the first day of school, our friendly staff and older learners provide gentle guidance and peer support to help everyone feel at home.
Our class teachers, supported by the Head of Lower Primary, closely monitor each child's academic progress and emotional well-being, and we keep open communication with parents throughout the term.
