School Vision
Our vision is to be a leading institution of excellence in Africa, imparting learners with a Christian ethos and nurturing them into disciplined, resourceful, and responsible leaders who drive global change.
School Mission
To empower all learners through holistic and practical education.
Education
We offer the Uganda National Curriculum through a modern, balanced, varied, practical, and skills-based approach to learning.
Our core values of Faith in God, Virtue, Knowledge, Self-discipline, Resilience, Compassion, and Diligence represent qualities that we wish to inspire and instil in all our pupils, and that will guide them throughout their lives.
Rich and Holistic Curriculum
The school primarily teaches the Uganda National Curriculum. This is however blended and enriched with several other modules and programs to make it more practical, holistic, skills based, and relevant for the 21st century learner.
Some of these include:
-
A Character and Integrity Building Program
The objective of this program is to nurture good/strong character, values and ethics among all our learners. -
Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM)
STEAM should be a key focus area for any modern education system. Our STEAM program aims to equip learners with modern, competitive ICT skills, practical everyday physics, robotics, art and design, and exceptional proficiency in mathematics. -
International Languages.
All our learners should, at the end of their study period, be able to speak fluently in at least one additional international language. Currently, we teach French, Mandarin Chinese and Kiswahili. -
A music and creative arts program
We have a robust music and creative arts program that equips learners with skills such as singing, acting, playing instruments, and songwriting. -
A robust and talent-based sports program.
This focuses on identifying and nurturing talent across different sports disciplines under the guidance of experienced coaches. -
A spiritual nurturing and mentorship program.
Godliness is our first and most important value. With this program, we nurture the fear of God and spiritual growth in all our learners. -
Financial literacy.
This focuses on training learners in practical lessons on saving, budgeting, good stewardship of resources and entrepreneurship. -
Other practical life skills
Such as cooking classes, art and craft work, and vocational skills are taught through school clubs.

Core values
Care
At The Olive School, Care is at the heart of who we are. We teach our pupils to care deeply for themselves, for one another, and for the world around them—just as Christ teaches us to love our neighbours. This care is expressed through kindness, respect, responsibility, and taking pride in even the smallest daily tasks, knowing that everything we do reflects our values and faith.
Courage
At The Olive School, we believe that teaching our pupils to have courage empowers them to embrace new challenges, step out of their comfort zones, and discover God-given talents they never knew they had. More importantly, we encourage every child to have the courage to be who God created them to be—with confidence, integrity, and faith.
Contribution
At The Olive School, Contribution means encouraging every pupil to use their God-given gifts to serve others, enrich their community, and glorify God. Whether in class, chapel, service projects, or on the sports field, pupils are empowered to take part meaningfully and to honour the contributions of others with gratitude and humility.
Connection
At The Olive School, Connection reflects our belief that meaningful relationships with God, with one another, and with the wider community are at the heart of education. We encourage pupils to connect their learning to real life, to build lasting friendships, and to grow in compassion, empathy, and Christian fellowship.
The Connected Curriculum
At The Olive School, our education is grounded in three foundational pillars: Academic Learning, Pastoral Care, and Co-Curricular Enrichment. These pillars work together as part of our Connected Curriculum a holistic approach that nurtures not only the mind, but the heart and spirit of every child.
Christ-Centred Pastoral Care
We place pastoral care at the heart of everything we do. Guided by Biblical values, our community fosters a sense of belonging, support, and spiritual growth ensuring The Olive School is a safe and nurturing place to live, learn, and grow in faith.
Academic Excellence with Purpose
We are committed to delivering high-quality education that challenges and inspires each pupil. Through a broad, engaging curriculum aligned with Uganda’s National Education Standards, we encourage intellectual curiosity, problem-solving, and a lifelong passion for learning, underpinned by Christian ethics.
Meaningful Co-Curricular Opportunities
Our co-curricular programme offers diverse opportunities for students to develop leadership, creativity, resilience, and teamwork whether through sports, music, outreach, or clubs. Every activity is designed to honour each pupil’s unique gifts and call them into meaningful service within school and the wider community.
