The Lower Primary years provide an important foundation for a child’s academic, social, and personal development. At The Olive School, learners are supported as they strengthen their literacy, numeracy, communication, and thinking skills while becoming more confident and independent in the classroom.
Teaching follows the Uganda National Curriculum and encourages learners to participate actively in lessons, ask questions, explore ideas, and apply what they learn through age-appropriate classroom and practical activities.
Alongside academics, we place strong emphasis on character, discipline, creativity, collaboration, and responsibility. Our Christian ethos forms an important part of school life, helping learners develop values that guide how they relate to others and the world around them.
Learners also participate in physical education, creative activities, games, and other co-curricular opportunities that support their overall growth and development.
As they progress through the Lower Primary years, learners are gradually encouraged to become more responsible for their learning and to develop the confidence and foundational skills required for the next stage of Primary education.
At The Olive School, we aim to ignite a love for learning in every child and to build strong foundations that guide them confidently into Upper Primary and the wider world beyond.
