Pupils are invited to join The Olive School – Namugongo from as early as Baby Class. Our main entry points are at Baby Class (Nursery), Top Class, and Primary One (P.1), but we warmly welcome pupils at other stages throughout the academic year whenever places are available. We follow a clear five-step admissions process to ensure your child’s journey into our school community is smooth, personalised, and welcoming.
1. Register your child
Begin your journey by completing our registration form, available at the school or by contacting the Admissions Office. A non-refundable registration fee of UGX 50,000 is payable upon submission.
Early registration is encouraged, but we welcome applications throughout the academic year if places are available.
2. Interview and class assessment
All applicants are invited for a short interview with the Headteacher or Admissions Team. Children from Top Class and above will complete a short literacy and numeracy assessment to ensure proper class placement.
We also request a recent report card from the current or previous school to understand your child’s learning style and support needs.
3. Consider financial aid
We offer limited bursary support to families who demonstrate genuine financial need. Parents may apply for aid through our School Finance Office and provide supporting documentation during the process.
All bursaries are subject to annual review and available only when funds permit.
4. Offer and acceptance
Successful applicants will receive an official offer letter from the school. To confirm a place, parents are required to pay an acceptance fee and submit all requested documentation, including a copy of the child’s birth certificate and passport-sized photo.
5. Start your Olive School journey
New pupils and families are invited to an Orientation Day held before the start of term. This includes meeting teachers, familiarising with classrooms, and learning about uniforms, class routines, and transport options.
We look forward to welcoming your family to The Olive School – Namugongo, where every child is known, valued, and inspired to thrive.
