Boarding Life

At The Olive School – Namugongo, our boarding community offers a nurturing, faith-based environment where pupils live, learn, and grow together. Each child joins a warm and welcoming dormitory family, guided by caring House Parents and matrons who provide daily support, supervision, and spiritual encouragement. Whether coming from nearby towns or abroad, every learner is supported to feel at home and part of our Christian school family.

Weekend Activities

Weekends at Olive School are filled with enriching activities designed to balance relaxation, learning, and fellowship. Boarders enjoy movie nights, sports, Bible study groups, creative arts sessions, gardening, and supervised study time. We foster a vibrant, structured atmosphere where children can explore new interests and bond with peers outside the classroom.

Holidays and Visiting Days

Parents and guardians can view upcoming term breaks and official visiting days on our Term Dates page. Pupils may remain in school during select half-term breaks, but all learners are required to go home during major holidays. The school coordinates with parents to ensure safe and timely departures and returns for all boarders.

Guardianship & Pastoral Care

At The Olive School – Namugongo, we recognize the importance of strong parental support and guardianship, especially for our boarding pupils. For children whose parents live far from Kampala or travel frequently, we encourage families to appoint a trusted local guardian or contact person who can assist the school in case of emergencies, academic follow-ups, or school events. Guardians should be over 25 years of age and able to communicate regularly with the school.

Families may apply directly through our Admissions Page or work with recognized educational representatives. The Olive School is open to collaborating with trusted agents across Uganda, East Africa, and beyond. Interested agents can contact our Admissions Office via admissions@theoliveschool.ac.ug to inquire about partnerships and application procedures.

Support for International Pupils

We warmly welcome learners from outside Uganda and are happy to assist with formal documentation for students requiring special travel or residence permissions.
