Charity and Community

At The Olive School – Namugongo, we teach our learners to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others and to care for God's creation. Each year, pupils take part in charity drives, environmental projects, and acts of service that strengthen their leadership, compassion, and teamwork.

Many of our charity and outreach events are led by class representatives or House leaders, with fun ideas like bake sales, jumble markets, “splash-the-teacher,” themed dress-up days, and charity walks. These events not only raise funds for worthy causes, but also give pupils valuable experience in planning, speaking, and working together.

Service is not only about giving money it’s also about time and kindness. Pupils regularly donate items to local orphanages, visit the elderly, support peer readers, or help tidy up school grounds and nearby community spaces.

Our children are also learning to become stewards of the environment. They plant trees, lead waste-sorting drives, repurpose old uniforms into crafts, and take part in our "Green Day" recycling and sustainability campaigns.
