The Olive School of today—with its rich and balanced community of boys and girls, day and boarding pupils—has strong foundations rooted in Christian values. Yet our modern vision for holistic education goes far beyond our origins.
The Olive School was founded with a passion to nurture purposeful, God-fearing learners. Located in Namugongo, Uganda, it delivers the Uganda National Curriculum, enhanced with hands-on skills, STEM innovation, and a global language program. Its serene, purpose-built campus offers a peaceful environment for academic and character growth.
When our leadership team envisioned a school that would empower both boys and girls through values-driven learning and practical education, The Olive School was born—ushering in a new era of co-educational excellence, faith, and leadership for the next generation of Ugandan scholars.
This spirit of purpose continues today as we embrace new technologies, child-centered methods, and multilingual education, while remaining true to our foundational values of excellence, integrity, responsibility, and creativity.
Founding Vision
The Olive School opened its doors in 2025 with a bold vision—to raise a new generation of God-fearing, disciplined, and purpose-driven learners. Though newly established, the school draws deeply from timeless Christian values and educational excellence.
Designed with intention, the founding block of The Olive School serves as both a functional and symbolic space. Its serene architecture and naturally lit classrooms reflect our commitment to creating a peaceful, nurturing learning environment. Every corner is purpose-built to inspire creativity, curiosity, and moral leadership.
While we are a young institution, our foundations are strong. Each lesson taught, every prayer spoken, and each value instilled today will shape the legacy of tomorrow’s leaders.
The School Chapel
The School Chapel is a sacred and vibrant center of spiritual life at The Olive School. Since our founding in 2025, the chapel has hosted weekly worship services, devotion sessions, and hymn singing that uplift both hearts and voices across the community.
Though newly built, the Chapel is grounded in timeless Christian traditions and serves as a space for prayer, reflection, and spiritual mentorship. It embodies our mission to raise learners who are not only academically excellent but also spiritually anchored and morally grounded.
In this sacred space, we celebrate Christian holidays, hold student-led devotions, and nurture values like compassion, gratitude, and courage. Learn more about our spiritual foundation.
The School Crest and Motto
The Olive School colours are white and green, symbolizing purity, growth, and spiritual nourishment. The school uniform features our distinctive crest, marked with the motto: “Solus Enim Deus” – “For God Alone.”
This motto reflects our unwavering commitment to Christ-centered education. It reminds us that all learning, service, and leadership must be rooted in God's purpose. As a community, we honour those who laid the foundation of our vision and strive to pass on not just knowledge, but faith, character, and hope to future generations.
Championing Co-education from the Start
When The Olive School opened its doors in January 2025, it did so as a proudly co-educational Christian institution—welcoming boys and girls equally as part of its founding vision.
This inclusive approach reflects our belief that both girls and boys thrive in environments that promote collaboration, mutual respect, and shared leadership. From classrooms to chapel, from sports fields to science labs, our students grow side by side—learning not only academics, but also empathy, responsibility, and teamwork.
The Heritage & Memory Centre
Although The Olive School was founded in 2025, we are already curating a growing collection of memories, milestones, and founding documents to preserve our story for future generations.
Our Heritage & Memory Centre will serve as a living archive documenting student achievements, school publications, uniforms, art, photographs, and spiritual reflections that shape our identity.
